Issue Summary
The new editor in Confluence Cloud introduced Link to undefined, placeholder pages. However, the legacy editor doesn't seem to have the same functionality. Please see the below table:
| Editor | Image | Summary |
|---|---|---|
| Legacy Editor | ![]() |
When hovering over the link we notice the URL in the bottom left corner. This references the current page being viewed that the link lives on. |
| New Editor | ![]() |
When hovering over the link we notice 1) gray pop up window with the link and 2) in the bottom left corner another URL. We can see that both links have the following parameters ?spacekey=KEY&title=My%20TITLE |
The new editor has a way that end users can identify where the undefined links live (space, etc). The legacy editor does not have this ability and causes a lot of confusion for end users.
