Description
The table filter and charts macro provided by Stiltsoft is widely utilized by users across both Confluence Cloud and Confluence On-Prem platforms.
Following a migration from Confluence On-Prem to Confluence Cloud, a notable difference was observed in the macro's functionality during page editing. This difference is particularly evident in the ability to filter table content in real-time while editing the page, which is beneficial for editing extensive tables during meetings.
In the edit mode on Confluence Cloud, the macro lacks specific features that are available on Confluence On-Prem, including:
- The option in Settings to "Enable filtration in the editor";
- The filtration panel that appears at the top of the page when using the Show option;
- The capability to dynamically display filtered table results.
This limitation is attributed to the macro's operation within an iframe, preventing it from executing any actions within the editor. This contrasts with the Data Center/Server versions, which allow Add-on scripts to run in the page edit mode and dynamically alter the content.
Enabling Stiltsoft's macro table filter and charts to incorporate these functionalities in the Confluence Cloud version is a desired improvement.
