    Description

      Summary

When a PDF from another page is displayed on a page using the PDF macro. Upon attempting to download, the file name is a GUID, necessitating the user to rename the downloaded file. The file should be saved automatically with the original file name of the embedded PDF.

      How to Replicate

Open page in view mode and scroll to any pdf macro file, click on download and you will see a random string as file name while saving it.

      Workaround

PDF macro is relying on the browser's PDF previewer, so the requirement to name the file is coming from chrome, not confluence. if we want to download the file without naming it, we have these options:
1 instead of the PDF macro, attach the PDF normally in the new editor and select the download button
      2. in the old editor, attach the PDF normally and select the download button from the toolbar
      3. in the ... -> Attachments -> Files menu there's an option to download the file when clicking the file name
