Whiteboards controls are pushed off-screen when marketplace apps add elements to the top of screen (banners, buttons, etc)

    Description

      Issue Summary

Some marketplace apps add elements to the top of the screens like banners or custom buttons. This works fine for pages (or blogposts) as their content is moved lower in the screen without issue, but this is not accounted for in Whiteboards and results in its controls being moved off-screen.

In most cases, the additional elements added to the screen by the apps are not even compatible and/or relevant to Whiteboards but are added anyway.

For the moment, this requires each app developer to adjust their apps accordingly to hide unnecessary elements to prevent them from breaking the screen layout when the target content is a Whiteboard (instead of a page or blogpost). This entry was created to be used to track a definitive solution from Atlassian side.

      Steps to Reproduce

      1. Install some Marketplace apps that add elements to the top of the screen.
      2. Access any existing (or create a new) Whiteboard

      Expected Results

Controls at the bottom of the screen render properly

      Actual Results

Controls are positioned off-screen, making it unusable.

      Workaround

Currently, there is no known workaround for this behavior from Atlassian side (other than disabling the app, which is not feasible for most customers).

We recommend reaching out directly to vendor support from your 3rd-party app.
