      Problem

Confluence's Page insights feature provides basic analytics such as the number of page views, estimated read time, and the total number of views. Yet, it lacks granular user activity tracking like time spent on particular pages and user navigation paths within the site.

      Suggested Solution

A proposed enhancement is to extend Confluence analytics to capture more detailed user behaviors. These can include metrics like time spent on individual pages, user's navigation sequence (user flow), and frequency of visits to specific pages.

      Why This Is Important

Understanding user engagement at a deeper level allows for content optimization and improved user experience (from an overview/homepage, for example). Detailed analytics give valuable insights into user interactions with the site, enabling creators to better align their content with user preferences.

      Workaround

For the time being, users needing comprehensive analytics may integrate external tools. However, an in-built feature would offer a more seamless experience.
