The Challenge
At present, users are required to navigate to the attachment session to upload new versions of files. This can become challenging and confusing, particularly when pages contain multiple documents.
The Previous Solution
In the old editor, users had the convenience of clicking on the embedded attachment in the body of the page, which revealed an up-arrow to upload a new version of the file. This feature was greatly appreciated as it offered a straightforward method for updating files.
The Proposed Solution
To enhance user-friendliness and streamline the document update process, we propose the re-introduction of an 'upload new version' button or up-arrow directly in the document viewer on the main page. This feature would allow users to update their documents right from the page where the document is displayed.
The Benefit
Implementing this feature would significantly enhance the functionality and user experience of Confluence Cloud. Simplifying the process of updating documents would further improve user satisfaction and efficiency.
