Issue Summary
- Sometimes, the original confluence-users group would be deleted or the default group altered by the customers. When this happens, the add-ons would lose product access on Confluence, failing to work properly (at least, most of them).
Steps to Reproduce
Attempt to use or configure any apps.
Expected Results
The page/app should work as expected.
Actual Results
Error message shows up in the UI or network logs:
- Something went wrong! Please try again later
- Unauthorized
- CONFLUENCE_FORBIDDEN
- Current user not permitted to use Confluence
Workaround
The solution for this scenario consists of granting the atlassian-addons (default system group that apps automatically belong to) product access on Confluence. Please contact Atlassian Support team to have this performed.
