Description
Issue Summary
Users are able to choose between Dark mode and Light mode upon the recent rollout of a highly voted feature: Dark Mode, Please.
However, upon trying to customize the color in the site settings, the navigation bar colors, for example, set in the Confluence Settings > Customize color scheme settings, looks like the color is set in light mode correctly, but upon changing to dark mode, it is another color (eg.: color is still green, but it is a different tone of green).
This makes it harder for admins to choose a custom logo to adjust the colors they can use on the site and make their logo visible on both modes
Steps to Reproduce
- Go to Confluence Settings > Site Logo and Favicon
- Under Site Logo, set the site title and upload site logo
- Make sure the site logo has a color applied (e.g: not black or white for example)
- Save
- Go to the Customize color scheme settings
- Edit and choose a background color. E.g: #99CC00
- Save
- In your avatar in the top right corner, click on Theme > light mode or dark mode
- Check the navigation bar color and the icon visibility
Expected Results
Colors would be the same in the Dark mode and Light mode
Actual Results
Color changes in the dark mode.
Workaround
Currently, there is no known workaround for this behavior. A workaround will be added here when available
