Sometimes code mark applies to new text after closing with backtick

Issue Summary

Using the backtick to signal code markup in the editor, there will be times in which the markup stops after closing the backtick (`), and there are times in which the markup won't stop formatting text.

This is reproducible on Data Center: (not tested yet)

Steps to Reproduce

1. Start a word with a backtick (`) and close it off, occasionally the mark will continue

Expected Results

Once the backtick (`) is “closed” off it should not continue adding the mark to new text.

Actual Results

Sometimes, after closing backticks (`) code markup will continue to expand to new text.

Workaround

Currently there is no known workaround for this behavior. A workaround will be added here when available
