Smart Links not working with Box links if the same don't start with app.box.com on URLs

XMLWordPrintable

      Issue Summary

In the new editing experience, we're able to use Smart Links with a variety of links, such as google drive, dropbox, figma and box links.

However, even though it works for app.box.com links to be rendered as smart links if the same are pasted from the share copy link, the same don't work if the link is not from the share link on box.com and if the link has the name of the company, such as companyname.box.com/s/filename instead of app.box.com/s/filename, the links doesn't render as smart links.

      Steps to Reproduce

      1. Create a new page
      2. Paste a link from box.com from the share file link that has the similar link companyname.box.com/s/filename
      3. With the same URL link, replace the companyname with the "app" word, it should be like app.box.com/s/filename

      Expected Results

Both URLs links are valid and render as Smart Links

      Actual Results

Only the link as app.box.com/s/filename render as a Smart Link

      Workaround

Replace the companyname.box.com to use the app.box.com to render it as a smart link or use the ctrl + k (link macro) to enter the link a name to the file link shared.
