Description
Issue Summary
In post migration phase, users are coming across this problem as the old confluence server is no longer available.
Users have several thousands of old confluence links spread across bookmarks, Microsoft notes, emails etc., in where the users click any of those old links - it will fail as
their links refer to old confluence server links instead of confluence cloud links along with a different contentid(s).
Note, the actual problem is how to forward all old links spread across multiple 3rd party applications such as Emails, bookmarks, Notes etc. to Cloud and being able to resolve them with an Atlassian cloud url and correct content ids.
The customer needs a tool/script to fix them on cloud infrastructure.
- The customer's Confluence Server pages are on public.
- Their customers know that Server page URL(not confluence link. just string).
- After the migration Server to Cloud, the Cloud page URL will be changed from Server(pageId, baseUrl, etc.).
- However, their customers only know the Server page URL. So the customer wants to configure the redirection to Cloud in Confluence Server page URL.
- To configure that redirection, the customer needs to get the mapping of how changed page URL(Server to Cloud) to configure the redirection.
Suggested Solution
- Confluence Cloud Migration Assistant(CCMA) provides that URL mapping information after the migration is completed.
