Description
Problem Definition
When we run Jira Macro Repair, it's applying to site-wide. It would be nice to allow running Jira Macro Repair on only specific spaces, especially when we run phased migrations.
Suggested Solution
Provide the option to run Jira Macro Repair on selected spaces.
Why this is important
- In some cases, customers are running the migration to Cloud at different phases. Thus, customers would like to target only the spaces that have just migrated to Cloud.
- Better performance - smaller scope for Jira Macro Repair feature to scan through and thus it would be faster to scan and fix.
- Prioritization - Admin can choose to fix the Jira Macros on high usage/important spaces first, then slowly run the update for the least important spaces later.
Workaround
Jira Macro Repair can be run after each migration phase to update any pages from that recent migration.
It's not necessary to migrate Jira, or all the Confluence spaces beforehand.
In this way, smaller batches of spaces can be updated incrementally. Pages are marked as complete after the run and don't get rerun by future scans for subsequent migration phases
