Context

The Confluence for Slack app currently only allows for plain text searches to be run. This means the string provided to the /confluence search <text> command will be searched across all content.

As the amount of existing content increases, the accuracy of the search decreases. This can also be affected when searching for technical terms in a technical knowledge base.

Suggestion

It would be useful to have ways to make the search more accurate. This could include:

1. Limiting search on a given space
2. Limiting search based on author/contributor

In a more complex solution, it could use technologies such as AI/ML to match the string across the content and increase accuracy over time based on user feedback.
