Hey Team,
By default, when an attachment is inserted into a Confluence page, the same will provide the user with an option to see the preview for it (mostly for PDF and Word files, for example). However, when tapping on the option to Open in a new tab with browsers like Chrome and Firefox, the file will be automatically downloaded, instead of previewed in a new tab.
For the Server edition of Confluence, there is a workaround that would allow this option to be available by changing the Attachments Download Security Policy to Insecure, but, in Cloud, this option does not change the behavior.
This is a suggestion to allow such option to be done in Cloud, by default. As a workaround, the user will need to manually insert the preview link into a link in the editor.
