      Issue Summary

When changing the default display for new links from the Link Preferences settings, the modification isn't visible for Jira issue macro.

      Steps to Reproduce

      1. Create a Confluence page.
      2. Go to Admin Page > Account Settings > Link Preferences. Try to change the default display for the links.
      3. Create a Jira issue macro on the page.

      Expected Results

On adding the Jira issue link through Jira macro, it should get displayed as a URL/Card/Inline as set in the Link Preferences settings.

      Actual Results

Using the Jira issue macro on the page automatically gets displayed as a smart card irrespective of the changes you make in the Link Preferences settings.

      Workaround

      1. Select the smart card Jira link on the page by clicking once, and click the Edit link.
      2. Enter the text in the field you want to link.
      3. Hit Enter, and it saves the link with the text you entered.
