Description
Issue Summary
When a global automation rule is created using the "Send Email" action, the automation Audit Log does not display which recipients the email was sent to.
Steps to Reproduce
- Navigate to Confluence Cloud Settings > Global Automation
- Choose "Create Rule"
- Choose "Scheduled" and enter a time interval (I'd recommend shorter intervals for easier and quicker testing)
- Add "Add Component" and select "Branch rule / for each page"
- Choose "Add More Criteria"
- Choose "Last Updated More than" then define some time interval you'd expect to display results.
- Define this rule using "Where author is one of" and enter a few users.
- Choose "Add Component" and select choose "New Action"
- Choose "Send email"
- In the "To" field enter this smart value: {
Unknown macro: {page.author.emailAddress}
}
- Choose "BCC" and enter your own email address
- Enter some text in the "Content" field
Run the automation rule then check the Global Automation Audit Log, ensure the rule ran successfully, and select "Show More". The info displayed is too cryptic to be useful for admins. The "Send Mail" portion of the log only shows message id's and does not display which of the previously added recipients met the criteria for the automation to run. This log should include human readable usernames.
