Expired Session Licensed Confluence users not being prompted to login

      Issue Summary

      For Lincensed Confluence Users with expired sessions. When navigating to Confluence has 3 different behaviors:

      • Navigating to /wiki/spaces: Load Blank Spaces page
      • Navigating to /wiki/home: Redirects to Blank Spaces page
      • Navigating to direct space/page link: Restricts user from viewing a space that the user has privileges to see.

      The user should be prompted to login to their Atlassian Account to began an authenticated session.

      Steps to Reproduce

      1. User Session Expires
      2. Navigate to either of the below links

      Expected Results

      The user should be prompted a login window

      Actual Results

      The customer is presented with 3 possible behaviors depending on the URL used:

      • Navigating to /wiki/spaces: Load Blank Spaces page
      • Navigating to /wiki/home: Redirects to Blank Spaces page
      • Navigating to direct space/page link: Restricts user from viewing a space that the user has privileges to see.

      Workaround

      We have seen success with the below workarounds:

      • Navigate to Jira Cloud and login. Then navigate back to Confluence Cloud.

      OR

      • Clear cookies and cache. Then attempt to navigate back to Confluence Cloud

      OR

      • Login to start.atlassian.com with the Atlassian Account
