Summary
Currently, when you paste links (such as Jira issues, Confluence pages, etcetera) onto your Confluence page they will automatically get a special styling which is also known as Smart Links.
The Smart Links retains the page formatting. This means that these links obey the page borders. However, this causes words splitting in a random way, as you can check in the screenshot:

Solution
It would be nice to provide a way to modify the Smart Links formatting in order to prevent words from splitting in a random way.
For example, Confluence current text formatting prevents words from getting split in a random way — when there's a word in the end of the sentence and that won't fit there, it will be automatically placed in the next line. Something similar could be applied to Smart Links.
Workaround
- To avoid the line break, use regular text and add a link instead. This way, line breaking doesn’t happen in the middle of a word
