Can we include in REST API an option to enable users to set their Space Logos (on Create and/or Update)? If not possible to enable custom upload of images, at least allowing to set the id for one of the existing logos would help already (as possible today for Jira).
Current Behavior
When Confluence Spaces are created, a random logo gets assigned from default icons pool. It's not possible to change it via API and the only way to change the logo is via UI (Space Settings > Space Details).
Desired Behavior
Having possibility to change Space Logo via API, either setting an existing id or uploading a custom image.
Some extra context
This is available for Jira via API and having it also for Confluence would enable customers to leverage their automations. Here's recent business case received:
"We automatically create a Confluence Space for each Jira Project (same name, same key, linked, etc). We are able to set the Jira icon via API but cannot match this on the Confluence side. Having equivalent icons is very helpful for creating a consistent experience between Jira and Confluence and allows the user to visually identify projects when scanning over the project/space lists. Also Confluence randomly assigns a default icon, but we can’t even set it to a standard default icon, so left to it’s own devices the icons make no sense and when several spaces are created automatically, it appears as chaos until someone goes through and sets these individually (which requires elevated permissions.)"
