Description
Issue Summary
"Copy Link to highlight" is a browser feature.
Under the hood, it’s Scroll to text fragment which brings a user’s attention to a particular place on a webpage. However, on Confluence the scroll-to-text doesn’t work as intended and instead auto-scrolls to the top.

Steps to Reproduce
Working Steps
- Navigate to any webpage. For example:
- Highlight some text and right-click to show the browser menu
- Select "Copy Link to Highlight"
- Open a new page and paste the copied link
- You'll see the page scroll to the location and the text should be highlighted
Repeat the same steps with any Confluence Page
Confluence Steps
- Example pages
- Any Confluence page
- Repeat steps 2 - 4
- Instead of the page going to the highlighted location, Confluence will scroll to the top and the text will not be highlighted
Expected Results
Using the link URL in a new browser tab should bring a user directly to the highlighted text.
Actual Results
With any Confluence page, using the link URL will show the user the highlighted space, and then quickly scroll to the top and remove the highlighted text.
Workaround
Currently, there is no known workaround for this behavior. A workaround will be added here when available
