      Emoticons in published legacy editor page display as code instead of the icon or emoji.

      Steps to Reproduce

      1. Edit a legacy Confluence page
      2. Insert a emoticon into the page
      3. Observe emoticon/icon/emoji is displayed
      4. Publish the page
      5. Notice the code for the emoticon/icon/emoji is displayed instead

      Expected Results

      Emoticon/icon/emoji should display on published page.

      Actual Results

      Code for the emoticon/icon/emoji is displayed instead.

      Workaround

      Currently there is no known workaround for this behavior. A workaround will be added here when available.
