Description
Summary
This issue only happens when moving multiple pages at the same time and is consistently reproducible.
When moving a page tree between two spaces, if one of the pages contains attachments with links pointing to pages within the same page tree, the attachments will break.
Please view attached screen recording to follow steps to reproduce.
The move page with has the proper source code like the screenshot below, but still shows "unknown attachment"
Environment
- Confluence Cloud
Steps to Reproduce
1. Create page page tree. Here's an example:
Parent page ├─ Child page 1 ├─ Child page 2 └─ Child page 3
2. Add attachments to the parent page.
3. Copy the link from the child pages.
4. Add the links from the child pages to each of the attachments.
5. Move the page tree to a different space.
Expected Results
The attachments shouldn't break
Actual Results
The attachments containing links to pages that were moved together will break. They display as "Unknown Attachments".
Workaround
There are two ways to prevent this issue from happening:
- Users can move the pages individually. That is, first move the page containing the attachments with links, then the other pages.
- Make a copy of the pages instead of moving them. Depending on the scenario, that's not a good choice as the author of the page will change and the page history will be lost.
Note
This issue is very similar to the behavior described on CONFCLOUD-63034.
