      Summary

By default, the overview page of a space will have a different structure that includes the following:

      • No heading and footers.
      • No page title.

As the title follows the name of the space, when the home page of the space uses the centered width, the title will still be left-aligned.

      Suggestion

To allow the page structure to match with the title and be properly aligned when the Overview page uses centered width, this is a suggestion to allow the name of the space to be aligned with the width of the home page.

Hi There, I'm a Confluence Front end engineer working on this issue. It appears that the first time a header image is added the editor also  attempts to center the title. For some reason that isn't reflected in the published state. I understand that is frustrating and I'm working on a solution.

you can remove header image and use /image macro if you want the image below. That isn't something they need to change. some people like it above some people like it below and you really can make it happen either way with the current setup.

However, the title going FAR left is very frustrating. please fix.

The current layout of Confluence's space overview page compromises both visual appeal and functional coherence.

I propose a vital update: align the space title with the home page's width. If a centered layout is chosen, the title should also be centered, enhancing UI/UX consistency.

This change goes beyond aesthetics; it's about an intuitive and seamless user experience, adhering to core UI/UX design principles.

I acknowledge the challenges in prioritizing requests but am convinced this enhancement will substantially improve the Confluence interface for users.

I request your team's consideration of this proposal and look forward to an update on its potential implementation.

Thank you for your commitment to Confluence's development. I am eager to see this positive change implemented.

Is this a suggestion or a bug? I'm struggling to believe this would be deliberate.

It looks like theres some hot potato gameplay going on with the assignee for this issue. It would be great to see some sort of acknowledgement from anyone that this is actually being looked into. Please and thank you.

I would love to see a fix for this with an easier more "made by Atlassian" based solution.  I mean to have a title bar literally looking like it's running away from our header because it's justified so far left, isn't a good look.

Please code this in soon. Thank you.

It's frustrating that this isn't fixed yet.  I've replaced the page title with a period, so it doesn't look so ridiculous.

Are there any updates on this? The recommended "workaround" to make the page full-width looks terrible, and this is such an annoying issue.

There is no solution for this but there is a workaround. you cant shift the title but you can set the page for full width using option "Make Page Full Width". this option is present as an icon on top right corner  just below the close button. After struggling for sometime i found this option and it worked for me. Hope this helps

Same issue here. The overview page title is correctly aligned in edit mode and preview mode, but misaligned after setting the page to fixed-width and publishing the changes. Also, I don't see any margin below the title after publishing.

Same issue here. The title page for the workspace was fine until I added a header image. After that, the page title is left aligned not matter what I do.

When in editor mode it is all perfectly under each other but when we publish and look at the live page the headline is always out of order.

We tried a few things but we can't fix it. It would be nice to see this being fixed so our pages will look good again.

This is very annoying and completely distorts Confluence pages. I don't recall this ever being an issue until recently, what happened??

++ For making the preview accurate and moving the title above the header image, as well as the proposed change to align the title with the width of the page. I also like the suggestion to (optionally) center the title. It would be better than the current situation.

It's such a terrible look to have the words out of alignment on the very first page people see.

How many votes do you need here to bring the title in the middle of the page (under the header pic)?

Alternatively, could the name be moved *above" the header image?

It's aesthetically a hot mess to have a header image in the middle, then the Space Title all the way at the left, then the text back at the middle.

If it is possible, it would be good to alter the 'preview' functionality for space overview pages. It creates a very confusing UX to see the title move in edit mode, to see it represented "correctly" in 'preview' and then see it "wrong" in published mode.
