Allow calendars to become public

XMLWordPrintable

      Summary

By default, anonymous users cannot access the calendars (CONFCLOUD-51697) unless they are added to pages from spaces that have public access enabled, which comes from a macro that displays the calendar data.

For scenarios where users would need to simply view an external calendar without having Confluence access or subscribe to Team Calendars from external ones (I.E. from Google), this would require additional efforts such as:

      • Have access to Confluence in order to view it.
      • When subscribing to a calendar, each user would need to manually add the URL in their own calendars. If it was public, the users could simply select the calendar instead of needing to do it from Confluence.

      Suggestion

This is a suggestion to allow Calendars to be made public by Confluence administrators to allow people to quickly subscribe to them.
