      Issue Summary

Upon using the Google macros (Docs and Sheets), provided by the Google Drive app to embed Google documents with sharing URLs, the content will not load. Instead, a Restricted link message is displayed.

      Steps to Reproduce

      1. Create a Google Doc or Google Sheet.
      2. After adding some content and a name to it, tap File > Publish to the web
      3. Publish the content and copy the URL from the Link part.
      4. Now, in Confluence, create a page and add the Docs or Sheets macros.
      5. Paste the copied URLs on the configuration for the macros.
      6. Publish the page.

      Expected Results

The content should load as it is already shared.

      Actual Results

A message stating that this is a Restricted link will be displayed:

      Restricted link

You'll need to request access or try a different account to view this preview

This does not impact the Google Slides macro.

      Workaround

      • Use the browser URL instead of the sharing URL ("Publish to the web").
      • Use the iFrame macro.
