Issue Summary

The hyperlink is not retained when copying a hyperlinked text from an excel sheet cell into a confluence page when published. The hyperlink is seen in the edit mode but when published hyperlinks seem to be lost.

Steps to Reproduce

1. Copy a cell in an MS Excel file that contains any hyperlinked text.
2. Paste the copied hyperlinked text into a confluence page and publish it.

Expected Results

The confluence page when published should retain the link with the text.

Actual Results

The confluence page only displays the plain text when published. The hyperlink is lost.

Workaround

Paste the direct link/URL into the table as the URL is converted to a Smart Link. You can decide if you'd like it to be shown as an actual URL, inline, card, embed.
