      Issue Summary

It is not possible to add a hyperlink to a Confluence "native" emoji placed on the page. The link is not applied to the emoji.

      Steps to Reproduce

      1. Create a page
      2. Add a Confluence native emoji (from the Emoji macro)
      3. Try to add a link to this Confluence native emoji

      Expected Results

The link should be applied to the Confluence native emoji as well.

      Actual Results

Currently, when we add a link to a text on a Confluence page, this link isn’t applied to a Confluence native emoji. Instead of it, it applies to the whole text, including the spacing of words. It seems that it does not recognize the Confluence native emoji as a part of the link’s display name:

      Workaround

There are actually two workarounds that may be applied to this bug at this moment:

      1. Insert an emoji through keyboard shortcuts (usually Ctrl+. on Windows or ⌘+Ctrl+Spacebar on Mac)
      2. Insert an emoji image instead of the emoji through the Files & images macro
