Description
Summary
By default, when editing tables in Confluence, users will have different keyboard shortcuts such as the ones to insert columns and rows. While this helps the productivity to add content, modifying or deleting content on the table still requires manual interaction via the UI.
In terms of accessibility, this also blocks users that rely on the keyboard to perform such procedures.
Suggestion
This is a suggestion to add additional keyboard shortcuts to make it quicker to edit table content and improve accessibility. For example:
- Remove rows and columns;
- Merge and split cells;
- Table options (header, row, numbered column);
- Open the cell background color pop-up;
- Sort the table while viewing the page (equivalent to clicking on the table header);
