Description
Issue Summary
When an image is added from an external source, it will not be added to the page, but, use the URL as a reference to having it displayed on the page.
In this case, when a link is added to an image from an external source, once the user taps the image, it will be previewed instead of redirecting the user to the link, even that the image still has the link added to it.
Steps to Reproduce
To reproduce this issue, you must convert a legacy editor page to the current one as the current editor has a suggestion to add images from the web, and its workaround will actually upload the image.
- Have a page using the legacy editor.
- There, make sure to open the dialog to upload an image and select the Images from the web option.
- Paste the URL of an external image and save the change.
- Publish the page to have the content saved.
- Now, edit the page again, and then, convert it to the new editor.
- Publish the page again and tap the image with the link.
Expected Results
The user should be redirected to the link.
Actual Results
A preview of the image is opened and the user is not redirected to the link as the link is still added to the image (which can be confirmed by editing the page and then, editing the link).
Workaround
- Manually upload the images and add the link to them.
- Open the image's preview and then, with a right-click, select the Copy image option. Once this is done, paste the image to the page (while editing it) and re-add the link. This will also upload the image to the page.
