Description
Hi everyone,
This is Lennon from the Confluence Cloud team. We are reaching out to let you know that the team has ended support for Jira gadgets on Confluence pages, effective September 29, 2022.
Jira gadgets were created nearly a decade ago, serving as an method to dynamically display data from Jira project(s) on to a Confluence page. As our products have grown substantially over the past decade, the gaps between these gadgets and the collective Confluence cloud offering have widened to a degree we can no longer feasibly support.
As a result, we will be ending support for these gadgets and closing existing requests that pertain to a feature request or bug fix. Our product team will be exploring new and efficient ways to pull dynamic Jira content onto Confluence pages.
In the mean time, all Jira gadgets will continue to work as is and will continue to be available to you. Please see our support documentation for a full list of the gadgets impacted by this change: [+https://support.atlassian.com/confluence-cloud/docs/use-gadgets-to-add-dynamic-content/+]
Issue Summary
Jira Gadget macros don't load on the page.
- Macros (so far):
- Sprint Health Gadget
- Sprint Burndown Gadget
- Created vs. Resolved Chart
- Issue statistics
Steps to Reproduce
- Add a Sprint Health Gadget to a page, and save it.
- On the view mode from the page, go to More actions>Advanced details>View Storage Format and check that there is no reference to the macro.
Expected Results
The gadget loads with no issues.
Actual Results
No sign of the macro on the page.
Workaround
Currently, you need to edit the macro and change the parameter Width from 450 to auto, save it, and the macro should load with no further issues.
If the step above doesn't work, you can visit another page from the space sidebar and go back to the one with the macros. Refreshing the page doesn't work.
