Issue Summary
Export to PDF/Word breaks the Jira Issue macro formatting
Steps to Reproduce
- Create an Jira issue and note its URL
- Create a Confluence page, add the Jira issue macro with the link to the created Jira issue. Publish the page.
- Export the page to PDF (or Word). The formatting of the Jira issue includes the Description and Status. The PDF is shown below.
- Edit the page and publish it.
- Export the page to PDF (or Word).
Expected Results
- The PDF should still have the Description and Status
Actual Results
Workaround
- Add a /jira macro and paste the link to the issue, this way, the exported PDF will correctly render the Jira Issue - In case after applying this workaround you edit the page, the JIRA macro for the single issue will be converted to a common smartcard again, which will make the bug happens if you export the page one more time.
Another possible workaround we could apply here is to add the JIRA issue as a hyperlink:
- Let's say you have the issue with key TEST-123, so you type the issue key in the page;
- Highlight the text and press Command + K / CTRL + K;
- Insert the JIRA issue link, like https://<SITENAME>.atlassian.net/browse/TEST-123;
- Hit enter.
