Summary
Jira issue macro should have an option to render the data in the absolute format in Confluence.
At present, the current behaviour/expected behaviour is if the Jira issue is updated <= 7 days ago. On Confluence it will show relative date format.
Jira behaviour at the same time:
- When the date of the action is <= 7 days ago, you'll be able to switch between relative and absolute formats by clicking on the timestamp.
- When the date of the action is > 7 days ago, it will always show the timestamp in absolute format, as per our design guidelines.
FR - Enabling Absolute Date/Time for JIRA issue view Status : Won't Fix
Clicking on the relative time stamp on Jira does change it to absolute value but it on Confluence it renders the relative value only.
Hence users who are exporting reports from confluence especially from Jira issue macro are seeing relative dates like below screenshot.
Suggestion
Enable an option to see the same absolute date format on Confluence upon using Jira issue macro. Or
Jira issue macro should have an option to render the data in the absolute format in Confluence.
Workaround ![]()
At this point, users can use a custom field date or date/time picker to pull the report with absolute value.
Note that this workaround will only work for future dates. For past dates, it will be displayed in the relative format.
