Problem Definition

When customers migrate between large instances, there is a 200MB uncompressed XML limit. For larger customers, even if they break down the backup into space exports. Their space exports can exceed that size pretty easily.

Suggested Solution

Provide a method for larger customers to migrate large XML imports into Cloud.

Workaround

• Reduce space size by curating and archiving older data into backups to meet compliance needs.
• Break down larger spaces into smaller spaces that meet the ~200MB size limit for imports.
• Use CCMA plugin as it was built to handle larger site migrations and gets around the 200MB XML limit (also helping as a workaround from Confluence Cloud to Confluence, highlighted in the Merge Multiple Confluence Cloud sites page):
