Shortcut to macros not working with placeholders

Steps to Reproduce

1. create a page using a template or containing place holder text.
2. Try to use @ or //

Expected Results

Upon using @ user search option should be available.
Upon using // date picker should be available.

Actual Results

Nothing results.

Workaround

As a workaround first use the @ or // option and then delete and then try to use the macro again which results in the correct data.
