Unclear macro ID semantics

Issue Summary

When developing dynamic content macros, the semantics of macro IDs should be available from the documentation, but is not. For example, does the ID of a macro mutate? The label ID implies not, but experimentation indicates the macro ID mutates after the macro editor is opened, then closed calling saveMacroData.
