Issue Summary
Using the Placeholder text on our templates is an amazing way to let tips and instructions to our users when using that template. To make sure we are using the full potential of the templates, working with template variables improves this experience!
When our templates have Placeholder text and we add a variable, the template preview is not showing the placeholder text for some weird reason.
Steps to Reproduce
- Create a new template (Go to a space and navigate to Space Settings > Content Tools > Templates);
- Add a Placeholder text;
- Add a variable;
- Save the template;
- Create a new page using this template.
Expected Results
In the template preview, we are able to populate the variable and either see the placeholder text.
Actual Results
We can only see the template variable in the preview.
Notes:
- Though the placeholder text is missing in the template preview, when we go ahead with the page creation, the placeholder text is there.
Workaround
Currently there is no known workaround for this behavior. A workaround will be added here when available
