Issue Summary
According to our documentation, Confluence administrators are supposed to be able to edit Global Templates properly. However, if the user performs any change on the Snapshot JIRA Report template, it won't work properly anymore. The user is still able to use it to create new pages, however the information from the selected Jira project doesn't populate on the page anymore.
Steps to Reproduce
- Access Confluence.
- Click on the cog icon, on the top right corner.
- Click on Global Templates and Blueprints, on the sidebar.
- Click on Edit button, next to the Snapshot JIRA Report Template.
- Perform any edit on the template (you can simply add a . anywhere on it).
- Click on Save on the top right corner.
- Click on Create button, on the top navigation bar.
- Search for Jira Report template.
- Select Change log.
- Select the desired Jira project.
- Provide a title to the page.
- Click on Create button.
Expected Results
Jira project information should populate on the page's content.
Actual Results
The template will load however the Jira content won't be populated on it.
Workaround
The workaround would be to reset the template to its default. To do so, navigate back to the Global Templates and Blueprints, and click on Reset to default, next to the template's name.
