The mobile site also makes it really hard to access the blog (perhaps impossible?) and leaves a lot to be desired from a usability perspective. To combat the difficulty of use, I have to use the desktop site on my phone. A UI designed for a large monitor on a small screen is frustrating, but that’s the only way I can maintain our blog while on the road.

For what it's worth, I would love to use the Confluence app for quick blog entries and journaling, sort of like Day One.  Adding a quick blog entry from my phone would really simplify my workflow and be much appreciated.

Our use case is for engineers in the field. Each day instead of using email to send through a capture of the past days events, they will keep a live blog that can be summarised each day. One of the many things we are trying to do to let field teams do field work and not administration. We'd appreciate the support to help us with this goal!

I think this is such an important, actually.. critical feature, and one that I would expect as a base feature for any collaboration and information management tool. It’s odd that it only impacts the ‘blog’ page type but you can do it with all the others. 

I and others raised this as far back as 2017. It’s frustrating to see features being added to the tool such as ‘more white space in the page layouts’ which adds little value ahead of things such as this.

We as a company use the whole suite of Atlassian products for our development and project management teams, but we have taken the decision to move away from confluence as our team collaboration tool based on the lack of this feature alone, as it really just doesn’t feel fit for purpose.

Such a shame
