Investigate: Confluence Free won't allow users to post answers on Questions for Confluence

      Issue Summary

      Currently, on Confluence Free you're able to install Questions for Confluence, however due to the way permissions are restricted on this plan you'd be unable to answer questions and would be thrown an error:

      Something went wrong
      We're not sure what the problem is. Try again, and contact your admin if it still doesn't work.

      Steps to Reproduce

      1. Navigate to Try Confluence Page and choose a Free License;
      2. After you chose this option you'll notice the page Find New Apps on the instance is not present;
      3. Install a standard/Free Jira license on the instace;
      4. Navigate to Find New Apps > Install Questions for Confluence;
      5. Once the add-on is installed go ahead, ask a question;
      6. Access the question to answer it

      Expected Results

      1. You should be able to answer the question;

      Actual Results

      1. Instead, the question is displayed and a generic error is thrown:

        Something went wrong
        We're not sure what the problem is. Try again, and contact your admin if it still doesn't work.

      Workaround

      • The only available workaround is to convert the instance into a standard trial instance, by accessing Manage subscriptions and changing the subscription into Standard
