Issue Summary

As per documentation the monospace can be written as `text`. This creates code (grey background) around the text instead of making the text in monospace.

Steps to Reproduce

• Create a page
• Add a monospace syntax using `text`

Expected Results

• Text converted to monospace

Actual Results

• Grey background is created

Workaround

Currently there is no known workaround for this behavior. A workaround will be added here when available
