It would be so helpful if there were a Columns option on the Children Display macro that allowed users to specify the number of columns into which to divide the sub-topics.

I know I'm not the only one with parent topics containing more than a dozen children, and a dozen is the maximum list length that humans can easily take in at a glance. Also, it looks odd to have a long list on the left and a very wide area of white space to the right.

The workaround suggested many years ago was to manually add links to each child topic. The very reason that we would like a columns option is that we are managing many topics, so the suggested workaround is not a viable option. Please reconsider adding this feature for 2020!
