We use Confluence primarily for documentation. We have a requirement to make our document WCAG compliant, which includes the ability to add alt-text to images.

Hi Alex (almost feels like I'm talking to myself hehe),

If you're enrolled in the Release Tracks program, you should receive this feature in about 2 weeks.

            Many thanks,
            Alex

            Hi Alex,

Do you know when the new feature will be rolled out to the public? I'm not seeing it in my confluence org and we're using the new editor.

            Thanks!

We are a public university with a legal obligation to publish content that is accessible. I'm afraid we will have to stop using Confluence if this is not resolved soon.

Seriously?!?!?! It's 2020! Do we get a reduction in our monthly payments after having SO many features removed? Sorry, but this is yet ANOTHER essential feature you've taken away!

In the US, this falls under Section 508 compliance and is required for many companies and government agencies. I agree that this should be a bug, not a suggestion.

Oh please.  I cannot believe this is not available on images either.  I knew I could not do it on Tables.

This is a necessary and generally a legal requirement. When will this become a working function?

This is incredibly basic and should be marked as a bug not a suggestion.

My organization needs the ability to add alt tags too. We are using Confluence Cloud publicly and really this should be available even if the site is internal. Companies are now getting sued over not having accessible websites. https://www.accessiblemetrics.com/blog/4-key-takeaways-from-2018-web-accessibility-lawsuits/
