Thank you for this suggestion. We're trying to strike the right balance between making it easy for customers to undo move changes and complete those changes. However, we understand that the persistence of the modal may be frustrating to use, especially if you're moving lots of content in the tree. We'll continue to explore a solution that can balance these concerns and follow up if we're able to address it.

    Description

      Summary

There's a dialogue that pops up when users move pages to reorder them in the Confluence Cloud sidebar:

This dialogue will often block the bottom of the page tree, so users have to wait until it dismisses itself, or close the dialogue themselves.

This message takes roughly 8-9 seconds before it dismisses itself.

Update: As of today, 17 December 2021, the dialog no longer dismisses itself in my tests, blocking the page tree.

      Solution

Shorten the time it takes to dismiss the message, allow admins to modify this time, or change the location of the message. If a user is moving a lot of pages around, this could hinder their workflow.

      Workaround

Perform the change from Space Settings > Content Tools > Reorder Pages
