      • Chrome (including latest stable version - 77.0.3865.90)
      • macOS 10.14 and 10.15

      3. Display the PDF using the PDF macro. Save.
      4. Visit the page, and note in Activity Monitor the CPU.

      Expected Results

Tested against the old editor, where my CPU spikes up to 30-40% but never higher than 100%.

      Actual Results

Caused a spike of up to 114% in my environment, and up to 250% in others.

      Notes

In Chrome, the CPU also has a spike (around 60% to 80% of CPU usage) in the latest stable version (77.0.3865.90).

      Workaround

      Use an alternative browser.
