Issue Summary

      We have been noticed about multiple different customers reporting that the page header, in the published mode, is missing for some pages, so they are unable to edit the pages.

      Environment

      • Cloud

      Workaround

      Clear all the temporary data for the page.

      If you're on Chrome, you can follow the steps below:

      1. Access one of the pages on Confluence where you noticed the problem;
      2. Go to the browser's menu and select View -> Developer -> * Developer Tools*
      3. Open the Application tab and select * Clear Storage* on the left;
      4. Hit the Clear Site Data button;

            Not sure why this ticket is closed.  I just started experiencing this about 3 days ago and it's starting to happen more often.  I have a page that's published.  I click the Edit pencil icon to modify the page, and BAM...... the page name disappears.  The page name is gone and so of course the Publish button is then disabled.  I have to go back in the browser and try to click the Edit icon again.  That or retype the page name again.  This should not be happening.  I use Firefox.  I do NOT have an attachments module on the page.  Pages involved have just had text and User macros.  Other pages have had some TOC macros and some random add-on macros.  I can find no similarities between the pages this occurs with.  Sometimes it may happen with a page, sometimes not.  I have a lot of pages to edit, and this is a real pain!  Atlassian, please provide a better workaround that does work or fix this issue.

            There is a different bug with similar symptoms (not being able to edit pages) that is being worked on.  And, the workaround does work!  https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/CONFCLOUD-67328

            • Refresh the editor and the editor will be loaded, or,
            • Remove the attachment macro from the page.

            NOT FIXED.... and clearing the browser cache should never be a permanent answer to a fix.

            Hi, I'm having the same issue-- not able to edit or add pages. I tried the "CLEAR SITE DATA" fix in Chrome but it hasn't fixed it.

            We followed instructions but were not able to get the workaround working. The page still loads with the error and we are unable to edit.

            I am facing issues like Meni mentioned:

            • in edit mode - can't add new image (drag and drop doesn't work), uploaded image has a broken sign over them
            • in published page (if I exit edit mode) - image is fine

            This should be fixed soon as it's affecting productivity today. Better QA is needed so that basic functions don't break like this.

             

             

            EDIT: it is working now. Had this issue for over a couple of hours

            I have started making browser shortcuts to pages I have worked on so I will be able to locate them again.

            i`m not able to see images or upload\add new one in edit mode at the new editor (both in chrome and edge) as images seems broken.

            Once i publish the previous images seems ok.

            I am still experiencing an issue after doing the hard reload and rebooting my machine, I am temporarily able to edit/save changes and then if I go back to the same page, I no longer have edit access. I am also unable to create a new page in the space I have permission to do so.

            Clearing Site Data on Firefox 69 worked for me.

            Doesn't work. Ended up here since when I click on edit it thinks I'm on a Mac. Clearing out does nothing.

            Deleting the website data on mojave/safari 12.1.2 (14607.3.9) did not work.

            Hello everyone,

            We can see that this issue is fixed, you will need to "clear site data" - the best is to clear cache for *.atlassian.net.
            Instructions for Chrome are provided in the description of this bug.

            Apologies for this experience.

            Does not work for me either. No access to edit button, does not work with shortcut "e" either. Create page does not work, never pops up create page dialog.

            I'm still not able to edit anything, and I also cannot expand images that have been added to pages.

            Workarounds do not work. I did use another browser and am able to edit the page for the short term.

            These work-arounds also do not work for me. I see an endless spinner when using the URL hack, and the "e" shortcut is not responsive for me.

            The clearing cache solution worked for me.
