[CONFCLOUD-67827] Search Results Macro required in Confluence Cloud

James Lowe added a comment -

Actually before the recent upates we just inserted a search query into a markup (between two '{'..'}' to give us everything '-365days'. Really simple. This helps us keep a list of potentially out of date/forgotten Wiki pages that could do with a check over or deletion. This markup no longer works as of Confluence 7.0 (I have been told by helpful people on the forums). The CQL seems a bit overkill for this kind of 'quick and simple' markup and I have yet to get it to work as I want it.

            Thanks for your time.

Live now: Search Results+ for Confluence

Hi all, I've built a replacement search results macro and massively improved it. Building queries is nice and simple with the custom macro editor, or you can switch on CQL to do more advanced queries.

You can customize the total results displayed, sort by title/modified, add metadata and change the scroll height of the macro. Oh and you can sub-search the search results!

The app is paid however I'm super responsive to feedback, bug fixes and ideas. If there's anything missing that you'd like to see just shoot me an email: support@appsplus.co.

We use this feature to display up-to-date page lists too, but I also use it to retrieve page counts for spaces.

This predefined search is an effective way of providing orthogonal classification of pages. Anyone who knows the history of hierarchical databases will understand this point.

Our users are overwhelmed with results using the site search tools.
The ability to preemptively narrow the search results on behalf of users has always been a useful tool.
