Automatic conversion of links to videos into widget is not available on the new editor

      Problem Definition

      On the legacy editor, if we pasted a link to a video (e.g. youtube), the link would be automatically converted into a widget connector, which would display the video.

      This feature is not available on the new editor.

      Suggested Solution

      Bring this functionality to the new editor.

      Workaround

      Use an iFrame Macro to render the video.

            Hello everyone, thank you for your expressing interest in this suggestion. We are closing this ticket as Smartlinks already support the requested functionality.             It's hard to believe that this feature does not exist in the «new» editor. This is a standard feature in every modern editor, and even the «old» editor had it. Do you really need to «gather interest» first before bringing this feature back, Atlassian?
