Mentions/Assigned tasks on Task Report macro does not notify users

XMLWordPrintable

    • Severity 3 - Minor

      Issue Summary

In Confluence, the user can work with the ability to assign tasks to different users by using the action item/task function, so the same triggers a notification that a task has been assigned to the user. When using the Task report macro and publishing a page, the mentions on that will not notify the users included in the task list.

      Steps to Reproduce

(info) Prior to starting the steps, make sure that existing action items/tasks are already associated with users, so it can be displayed on the Task Report macro.

      1. Create/edit a page using any editor version.
      2. On the page, add the Task report macro.
      3. Configure the parameters to make sure that valid tasks will be displayed on the page.
      4. Publish the page

      Expected Results

As it happens with tasks, action should trigger a notification that the user has been mentioned on the specific page.

      Actual Results

No notifications for the mention/action item will be sent to the mentioned user.

      Workaround

Currently, there is no known workaround for this behavior. A workaround will be added here when available
