      Atlassian Update: November 17, 2020

       Hi everyone,

This is nagarwal@atlassian.com from the Confluence team. There is already a user-level config you can set to default new pages to be full-width

You can update it under the user settings. Regarding full width for templates please follow https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/CONFCLOUD-68312

      Best,

      Niraj

      Developer, Confluence

For many users, they view confluence nearly exclusively through the desktop app, or do not care that the viewing experience in the mobile app is changed due to the change in aspect ratio. For these users, they would prefer that new pages default to the full-width rather than the fixed width format.

For this, I would like to propose either a global or space setting that will default the new blank pages to using the full width rather than the current default fixed width. This would allow the users to choose a default that is sensible for them.
