Description
Summary
With full-width option and with the left and right sidebar layouts, the table doesn't respect the chosen layout. The table will look perfect when in the Editor, however, in when viewing the page the table grows in width forcing a scroll horizontally, even if the table contents are limited and should have no problem fitting the column width.
Environment
- New Editor
Steps to Reproduce
- Create a page and select to use for instance column layout with right sidebar
- Add content, including at least one table with text in the sidebar column
- Publish the page
Expected Results
The table will fit inside the limits of the layout column, just as it does in the editor.
Actual Results
The table in the sidebar column increases in width forming a horizontal scroll bar.
Notes
- The table column cannot be resized(dragged), it would need to be the same width for all columns to ensure that the horizontal bar does not show up after published
- Additionally, zooming out will also show the complete table in most cases.
Workaround
The add-on Advanced Tables for Confluence would be an alternative by using the table plus macro by copy and pasting the current(columns dragged) table in the table plus macro
